Klacking Keypad / Build / Power Board

We will build the Power Board before building the Control Board.

Grab Your Power Board and Components.

Solder Resistors

Solder Diodes

Make sure orientation is correct.

Solder Capacitors (C3 - C9)

Don't place or solder C1 and C2.

Solder IC Sleeves

Make sure orientation is correct.

Solder Power Regulator

Make sure orientation is correct.

Put Bolt and Standoff on the Control Board

Put Male and Female Headers Together

Place the Headers Between the Control Board and the Power Board

Female Side Should Be on the Control Board.

Screw Bolt to Power Board

The boards should look like this.

Solder Header Pins On the Power Board and the Control Board.

Separate Power Board from the Control Board. Take Bolt Off of the Power Board Side Only. Leave the Bolt and Spacer in the Control Board

Make Sure the Polarized Capacitors Fit Between Boards

Place C1 and C2 capacitors. If they are too tall, place on the opposite side.

Solder Polarized Capacitors

Place IC Chips

Make sure orientation is correct.

Solder Expansion and Power Headers

Make sure orientation is correct.

Solder Trim Pot

Make sure orientation is correct.

Place Shunts in Expansion Header

Make sure orientation is correct.

The Power Board is now complete! Next we will build the Control Board.
